Students are completing a book report in class! The book needs to have already been read, and not one they have done a report on before. If they are choosing a book from home, they MUST bring it in to refer to!

Students received their assessment back from 2/22. I have told students that they are allowed to fix their wrong answers at home and turn the test back into me for a better grade. All test corrections must be completed and turned back in by Monday, 3/4.

Dreambox assignments 1/28

Families,

I made a mistake and forgot to post the new DreamBox assignments last Friday! Oops! I added them today. I understand that some of the students have already completed their 5 assignments over the weekend, as some schedules do not allow for homework time during the week. I have told the students who claim to have already completed their assignments to have their parents email me confirming there is not time for them to do the two assigned lessons for this week. These assigned lessons are great practice on the current learning topics, If I do not receive an email, I will expect to have the assigned lessons done by Friday.

Sorry for my being late!

Friday Winter Fun and PJ Day!

12/18/2018

On Friday, December 21st, we will be having a “Flashlight Read-a-Thon” in the morning.  Some of you may remember reading in bed by flashlight when you were a child. We are going to practice “Flashlight Reading”.  Flashlight Reading involves turning the lights off/closing the shades, finding a comfortable spot in the room, and reading.  It’s simply another way to encourage and promote more reading!

In order to make this possible, please send a small flashlight to school with your child on Friday, Dec. 22nd.  You can purchase one from Dollar Tree (or other dollar stores) for only $1.  Please label your child’s flashlight.  A used flashlight is fine too, as long as it’s small.  It would be too difficult for little hands to hold books and larger flashlights at the same time, so please make sure it’s small enough for your 3rd & 4th graders to use.  I know the children will love this reading time!
