Please mark your calendars! Our 3/4 Summative is quickly approaching and will be taking place on Tuesday, December 18th, from 5:00-6:30. The students have been working extremely hard and are excited to show you all of their wonderful work!
Mrs. Jernigan has asked that the students please practice their recorder at home! They have an assessment coming up!!
Our students will be completing an in-class project on animal adaptations. The assignment entails creating their own animal and describing the adaptations it needs in order to survive in its environment. Your student is coming home with a sketch of their made-up creature to share with you! We ask that you review the sketch and brainstorm possible materials to use in order to bring their animal to life! Students will be using these materials to create a 2D visual representation of their made-up animal. Please send these materials in with your student by Wednesday, December 6th. We ask that you make sure the materials are placed in a bag with the student’s name on it. Thank you!! From, Mrs. Cohen and Mrs. Gergen Hello Families,

Homework is going to look a little different for this month. First, we are sending home a Newspaper Book Report to be due October 31st. This report will be in lieu of the weekly ReadWorks reading homework. Lessons will be assigned weekly on DreamBox. The students will know the assigned lessons by the blue calendar icon on the lesson. Lessons are complete once the blue icon disappears. Attached to this sheet are the spelling words for this next week. Each Friday students will receive a spelling list to be tested on the following Friday. We will be working on the spelling pattern in class, but please practice the words with your student at home as well. =) Thank you for all of your support, The 4th Grade Team We are finally done completing our 20 lessons on DreamBox and ready to complete assigned lessons! The students are to complete the following two lessons on DreamBox:
Identifying factors Multiplication of up to four digits by single-digit numbers These lessons as well as the reading packet are due next Friday, 9/28 =) A few students were sent home with school handbook signature forms (for those who have not completed) today. Our goal is 100% participation! Please have those forms returned at your earliest convenience. =)
